NHS employees jailed for theft (27 March 2015)

Two NHS Lothian employees have been jailed for nine months after stealing £75,000 worth of dental equipment. After stealing the goods, they subsequently sold the items on ebay. The crime came to light when a dentist who had purchased some of the equipment contacted the manufacturers to ask if it was covered by a warranty’.

This case also featured in the BBC ‘Saints & Scroungers’ programme.
